Types of wood

What is more, our suppliers make much effort to make sure that the sustainable use of natural resources does not affect the environment in an adverse manner.

Pine - one of the most popular types of wood, used among other things, in woodwork, production of furniture but also in the production of plywood, veneers, wood joinery, floors. It can be used for construction of buildings as well. It guarantees excellent acoustic and thermal insulation. Moreover, its processing is easy and thanks to the susceptibility to colour saturation, it enables obtaining numerous colours.

American oak - used for the production of furniture and floors, doors, profiles and cabinets as well as in architectural woodwork. Due to its hardness it is durable and resistant to external conditions as well as susceptible to finishing and drilling. Processing and dyeing American oak is easy.

Larch - is an extremely aromatic wood type thanks to the high content of resin.  It is characterized by high durability – it is resistant to weather conditions, including moisture. Due to its properties, it is particularly recommended as wood to be used for terraces and construction as well as in window joinery. Moreover, it is used in the production of furniture, particle boards and veneers.

Meranti - type of wood particularly useful in woodwork - for the production of windows, furniture or external doors. It is an extremely absorbent material - it provides excellent saturation as regards paints and varnishes. Due to its softness, it very susceptible to various types of processing - nailing, sawing or gluing.

Sapeli (African mahogany) - resistant to external conditions and stable type of wood. It does not break while being processed and is characterized by high mechanical strength. After polishing the wood retains silky sheen and for that reason it is especially recommended for veneers, furniture, floors, doors, interior design elements as well as high quality joinery and boatbuilding.

Ash -  is characterized by a rich grain and high level of hardness. For that reason it is often used in woodwork industry. The unique properties of this type of wood as well as its strength result in its eager application as regards the production of stairs, doors, windows, floors and veneers.

Beech -  wood type commonly used in all sorts of woodwork. Due to its properties it is suitable for bending and shaping. It is commonly used in production of veneers, plywood, multi-layered boards but also in the production of furniture, boards, parquets, stairs, thresholds and parquet pavement.

Polish oak -  due to its weight and hardness, it is often used in interior woodwork. It is characterized by a high abrasion resistance. For that reason, it is perfect for making a floor stave. It is an easy to process and absorbent material. Consequently, it is used as a raw material in case of veneers, claddings, parquet, panels and in the production of rustic furniture.

Merbau -  extremely durable type of wood characterized by excellent properties thanks to which it is resistant to moisture, mechanical damage and atmospheric conditions. It is used mainly in the production of panels and floors as well as furniture. It can be successfully applied in the most challenging areas, such as a bathroom, kitchen or terrace.
